Sooo I finished this right now, yay!
I did it quite quickly, as for my standards, even considering that I had to stop for a week in the meanwhile, because I had to save all my files and format my laptop's hard disk, so now I'm on Windows 7 64bit, and it does great!
The 64bit thingie is really wonderful. As for Win7, I can't say i see all those differences with Vista.

But, enough with the nonsense babbling!
Mi first time ever in texturing that much, both fabric and stone (in the window). I did the brocades' patterns by picking some real brocade-photos and twisting and modifying and erasing them until they made sense.
The stone ones (far away in the window) are made by hand (oh well, by tablet).
Anyway, as soon as I understood what I wanted, the process of texturing came quite easily.

As for the inspiration this came from, we have Doumeki being a high priest of a shinto shrine in some half-rinascimental-half-japanese land, while Watanuki is that land's prince and needs our beloved Shizuka's help as for he has some... problems.
But I won't tell anymore, as this is one of the projects of fanfiction that me and have, and we will write it.
Some day.

On to the "what belongs to who".
So, I did the colouring and texturing in in Photoshop CS3 and (later) on Photoshop CS4 64bit, while the original sketch, that I might even upload as I like it, was done in Paint Tool SAI.
All this, with the kind help of my beloved Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium.
Photos of brocades, were the ones I found ages ago on the internet and saved them on my external hard drive, so they're not entirely mine (even if what remains of them is just the pattern).
Also, I used mainly, as usual, brush set.
He's a great artist and his brushes are wonderfully made, I recomend them.
Doumeki, Watanuki and xxxHolic are copyrighted by CLAMP and do not belong to me. Damn.

Aaaallora! L’ho appena finito, yay!
È stato abbastanza veloce, considerati I miei Standard e il fatto che mi sono dovuta fermare per una settimana nel frattempo per spostare tutti i miei files e formattare l’hard disk del portatile, infatti adesso sono su Windows7 64bit e va perfettamente!
La cosa del 64bit funziona davvero. Mentre Win7, beh, non posso dire che ci siano tutte ste differenze con Vista alla fine.

Ma lasciamo perdere tutte le chiacchiere inutile!

È stata la prima volta in cui ho provato a mettere tante texture, sia nelle stoffe che nella pietra (nella finestra). Ho fatto i pattern dei broccati prendendo varie foto di broccati appunto e modificandole e cambiandole e cancellando pezzi finché non hanno avuto un senso logico.
Quelle delle pietre (nella finestra là dietro) le ho fatte a mano (beh, insomma, con la tavoletta) invece.
Comunque, appena ho capito quell che volevo, il processo è diventato piuttosto semplice alla fine.


Per quanto riguarda l’ispirazione per il pezzo, abbiamo Doumeki in versione sacerdote capo di un tempio shintoista in una specie di ambientazione mezzo-rinascimentale-mezzo-giapponese, mentre Watanuki è il principe del luogo e ha bisogno del nostro amato Shizuka per via di qualche suo… problema.

Ma non dirò altro, questo è uno dei progetti di fanficion che abbiamo con , e lo scriveremo.

Passiamo al “cosa appartiene a chi”.

È un grande artista ed i pennelli che ha presentato sono fatti splendidamente, li raccomando.
